The Oxford Handbook of the Egyptian Economy represents the flagship output of the GAPP project ‘Egypt Economic Development and Policies’. The project aims to advance evidence-based research and policy dialogue to support inclusive, sustainable, and resilient development in Egypt. Edited by Prof. Mahmoud Mohieldin, Dr. Marcelo Giugale, and Prof. Racha Ramadan, it brings together contributions from 69 leading experts, researchers, and practitioners, structured into six thematic parts comprising 43 chapters, covering Egypt’s macroeconomic fundamentals, sectoral reforms and competitiveness, human development, poverty and inequality, environmental and spatial issues, and governance.
