صدر الكتاب عن دار نشر جامعة أكسفورد، وحرّره الأستاذ الدكتور محمود محيي الدين، والدكتور مارسيلو جويجال، والأستاذة الدكتورة رشا رمضان. ويُعد الكتاب الثمرة الرئيسية لمشروع التنمية والسياسات الاقتصادية في مصر (EDP) بالجامعة الأمريكية بالقاهرة، الذي يدعم البحث القائم على الأدلة والحوار حول السياسات من أجل تنمية شاملة ومستدامة وقادرة على الصمود في مصر.
