Dr. Nora Aboushady is Associate Professor of Economics at the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University and Senior Researcher at the German Institute of Development and Sustainability (IDOS). She is also Research Associate at the Economic Research Forum and the Euro-Mediterranean and African Network for Economic Studies, and a consultant for the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development in addition to several international organizations. She has a range of publications including articles in peer-reviewed journals, policy reports, policy briefs, and book chapters. Her areas of interest include international trade, trade policy, global value chains, and industrial policy, with a regional focus on the Middle East and Africa.
