Associate Professor of Economics Faculty of Economics and Political Science - Cairo University

Hebatalla Emam is currently working as an Associate Professor of Economics at the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University, where she teaches International Finance, Macroeconomic Theory and Feasibility Study courses. She obtained her Master and PhD degrees in Economics from the same faculty in 2012 and 2018, respectively. At present, she is also acting as an economic research expert at the Central Bank of Egypt, where she carries out some quantitative studies on the Egyptian economy. Moreover, she contributed as an economic expert in consultancy/research projects funded/supervised by the USAID in Egypt, the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development and the Institute of National Planning. Her research interests incorporate monetary economics, central banking, and international finance, where she published some research papers in international peer-reviewed journals. She has also participated in international conferences like MEEA and ASSA annual conferences, where she was granted the Ibn Khaldun Prize in 2020 for the best paper award. She has also served as a research associate at the Economic Research Forum (EFR) and acted as a reviewer in international peer-reviewed journals.
