Marina Iskander is a PhD Candidate at the University of Cambridge, focusing on competition law and trade policy in developing countries. Her activities during the PhD include serving as a Research Assistant at the Faculty of Law; working on ad hoc reports, such as with the UNCTAD, as a subject matter expert in (Egyptian) competition law; editing for the Cambridge International Law Journal; and publishing papers on competition law in developing countries. She previously worked at the Egyptian Competition Authority, first as a Legal Researcher and then as Head of the Competition Policy and Competitive Neutrality Department. She was also seconded by the Authority to the OECD’s Competition Division. She completed her LLB and LLM at the University of Manchester, as well as an MA in Economics for Competition Law at King’s College London.
