Prof. Mohammed Omran is a Professor of Financial Economics at the Graduate School of Business, Arab Academy for Science and Technology. Recently, he was a Distinguished Visiting Professor at the University of Alberta and a Sonoco Visiting Fellow at the Darla Moore School of Business, University of South Carolina. Previously, he served as Chairman of the Financial Regulatory Authority and the Egyptian Stock Exchange for over a decade. He has been a Visiting Scholar/Professor at various research and academic institutions. Additionally, Professor Omran was the Vice Chair of the International Organization for Securities Commissions (IOSCO), Chairman of the Federation of Euro-Asian Stock Exchanges (FEASE), and an International Board Member at the Privatization Agency of Kosovo. He has authored and co-authored over 40 papers in international economics and finance journals. According to Google Scholar, Professor Omran is the most cited financial economist in Egypt, with more than 5,700 citations.
