
Mona Essam
Mona E. Fayed is a Professor at the Economics Department of the Faculty of Economics and Political Science (FEPS), Cairo University. She got her Ph.D. in Economics in 2010 and was awarded the best Ph.D. thesis by Cairo University. Mona is currently the Assistant Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation for Sustainable Development Affairs. Also, she is a member of the Advisory Board of the International Journal of Euro- Mediterranean Studies (IJEMS), published by the Euro-Mediterranean University (EMUNI), as well as a member of the Editorial Associate Board of the Scientific Journal of Faculty of Economics and Political Science (REPS). Additionally, she was Former Deputy Director of the Center for Economic & Financial Research Studies (CEFRS) at FEPS, Cairo University and a fellow at the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT), Council of Economic and Administrative Sciences, since 2015. Mona was a visiting scholar at Andrew Young School, International Studies Program, Georgia State University in 2011 and a Visiting Professor at the Institute of Law and Economics, Hamburg University in 2013. She has several published articles in the domain of monetary and institutional economics.
