
Mahmoud Mohieldin

Mahmoud Mohieldin is an economist with over 30 years of experience in international finance and development. Prof. Mohieldin has been a key figure in global policy, serving currently as the UN Special Envoy on Financing Sustainable Development, and previously served as Senior Vice President, and Managing Director of the World Bank Group and Executive Director of the International Monetary Fund. He was the first Minister of Investment (2004-2010). His academic contributions span prestigious Universities in Egypt, Korea, UAE, UK, and the USA. He is a Visiting Senior Research Scholar at Columbia Business School, fellow of the World Academy of Art and Science and Senior Nonresident Fellow of Brookings Institution.
