
Rania Roushdy
Dr. Rania Roushdy is an Associate Professor at the Department of Economics, School of Business, The American University in Cairo. Roushdy has also been the Senior Research Manager/ Associate II of the Poverty Gender and Youth Program of the Population Council-Egypt Office. Her work encompasses several countries in the region and included policy-oriented research, surveys and development program implementation, impact evaluation, and capacity building training. Over a decade in this capacity, she has managed six nationally representative surveys in Egypt and Sudan, she has managed seven nationally representative surveys in Egypt and Sudan, numerous research and implementation projects focusing on women economic empowerment, gender dynamics, gender based violence, youth livelihoods and labor market dynamics. Roushdy holds a PhD and an MA in Economics from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, as well as an MSc and a BSc in Statistics from the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University.
