Riham Ahmed Ezzat is An Assistant Professor of Economics at the Economics Department, Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University. She got her PhD from Centre d’Économie de la Sorbonne, University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne in May 2016. She obtained her Master’s degree in Applied Economics from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne in 2012 and her Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Cairo University in 2011. Her research interests lie in the fields of industrial organization, microeconomics, econometrics, applied economics, regulatory economics, institutional economics and developing countries. She has been highly engaged in teaching postgraduate and undergraduate courses since 2016. Additionally, she acts as a reviewer for international journals such as Journal of Applied Economics, Revue d’Économie Industrielle and Small Business Economics. Recently, she was awarded the Egyptian Competition Authority Competition policy Research “Academic Award” for her research on Innovation and Competition in 2024.
